Companies will soon be able to buy domestically-made electric vans after Vauxhall announced plans for UK production.

Members of the Electric Fleets Coalition, kombi servisi which includes BT, Royal Mail and British Gas owner Centrica, have been calling for more of the vehicles to be made in Britain.

Some of that demand has now been answered after Vauxhall said it would make vans, Kombi Servisi including the smaller Combi model, at its plant in Ellesmere Port.

Vauxhall’s new electric van (pictured) was unveiled this week.If you have any concerns pertaining to in which and how to use Kombi Servisi, you can speak to us at the page. The company has revealed plans to make four commercial van models at its Ellesmere Port factory from 2023

Clive Selley, the boss of BT Openreach, last night said the move would be ‘welcomed by all large fleet operators who need to transition their vehicles away from fossil fuel’.

The broadband provider has the country’s second-biggest fleet of vans – 27,000.

However, the company and others are lobbying Vauxhall to produce bigger vans here as well.

Selley has called for an electric version of the Vivaro to be made in Luton, where only diesel models are currently produced.
